Gooloogong is one of the Cowra Shire's more substantial village settlements, located 38km north-west of Cowra nestled on the banks of the Lachlan River, set against a backdrop of the Conimbla National Park and rich with heritage-listed buildings and places.
The town is known for its log cabin hall, and features a strong sense of community with many businesses offering services visitors need, plus a popular free camp site near the Lachlan River. Located approximately 340 km west of Sydney, this charming village was established in the 1820s.

The village is located 34 kilometres north-west of Cowra en route to Forbes and Parkes, with the road following the curves of the Lachlan River. There's also a cycle trail connecting Cowra to Gooloogong via River Road and Billimari.
