Cowra is a charming country town set on the banks of the Galari Bila/Lachlan River in the lush Lachlan Valley Region of New South Wales. Located 305 kilometers west of Sydney, it boasts a unique mix of attractions including wartime history, farm experiences, vineyards, natural attractions, and arts and culture.

The town is home to the Cowra Japanese Garden, the largest Japanese garden in the Southern Hemisphere, and is famous for its World War II prisoner-of-war camp history, particularly the 1944 Japanese prisoner breakout.
