Goonellabah is the eastern suburb of Lismore, New South Wales, located on the Bruxner Highway and situated on a ridge five kilometres east of Lismore's centre. The name is an Aboriginal word meaning "native coral tree." The area offers spectacular views from the northern side of the ridge out to the Nightcap Ranges and is the fastest growing area of Lismore with a thriving community and shopping centre precinct.
At the 2021 census, Goonellabah had a population of 13,351, with various sporting teams competing in local competitions including football, cricket, hockey, and tennis.
