Norlane is a northern suburb of Geelong located approximately 7 km from the city's central business district and 70 km from Melbourne. Named after Norman Lane, a local serviceman who died on the Burma-Thailand railway line in 1943, the suburb was established post-World War II primarily for industrial workers.
Today, Norlane is a diverse community of approximately 8,000-9,000 residents. The Norlane ARC (Aquatic and Recreation Centre) serves as a vibrant hub for leisure, cultural programs, and community events.
