Garvoc is a rural village in Victoria's Western District, located 223 kilometres southwest of Melbourne on the Princes Highway between Terang and Warrnambool.
The town sits in the Moyne Shire and was named after Mount Garvock (now known as Mount Warrnambool), named by Surveyor General Thomas Mitchell during his 1836 Australia Felix expedition.
The area developed as a dairying community in the late 19th century, with historic buildings including the Yallock Inn. Today it serves as a service centre for the surrounding pastoral district.
