Saddleworth is a small town in the Mid North region of South Australia, situated on the Gilbert River in the Clare and Gilbert Valley, approximately 103km north of Adelaide. With a population of 470 (2016 census), the town was originally established as one of many settlements on the road to Burra and named after Saddleworth Lodge pastoral station.
It serves as a service town for the local rural community with activities including wheat, barley, sheep and cattle farming. The town features a 3km Heritage Walking Trail and recently opened park and café, making it an ideal stop for travellers.
