Wakool is a small rural town in New South Wales with a population of around 220-297 residents, located in the Murray River region approximately 650km northeast of Sydney. Situated between the Murray and Murrumbidgee Rivers, this peaceful community includes a cafe/post office, hotel, and services club.
The town serves as a base for wool and cattle industries and offers a quiet, relaxed lifestyle away from city living. Wakool has several heritage-listed sites and provides primary education through Wakool Burraboi Public School.
