Pallamallawa, affectionately known as "Pally," is a small rural village located approximately 30 kilometres east of Moree in north-western New South Wales.
Situated on the banks of the Gwydir River and just two kilometres north of the Gwydir Highway between Inverell and Moree, this community of around 470 residents serves as a service centre for the surrounding agricultural region. The area is known for diverse agricultural production, including irrigated crops like cotton and pecans, beef cattle, and cereal crops.

Pallamallawa is accessible by road via the Gwydir Highway. The nearest major transport hub is Moree (30 km west), which offers: daily bus services to/from Sydney (approximately 10 hours); train services via Werris Creek Station (approximately 9 hours from Sydney); and daily flights from Sydney operated by Qantas.
From Brisbane, visitors can drive (approximately 5.5 hours) or take bus services via Warwick (approximately 7 hours). Self-drive remains the most convenient option for exploring the region.
