Glencoe is a picturesque farming village on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales, situated near Glen Innes at an elevation of approximately 1,150 metres. Part of the Glen Innes Severn Shire Council, this small community of around 192 residents features the historic Red Lion Tavern, an old English-style pub perfect for refreshments or overnight stays.

The village offers unique farm stay experiences, sapphire fossicking at Mann River Bridge, and excellent birdwatching at the Glencoe Sports Ground, making it an appealing stop for travellers exploring the New England High Country.

Glencoe is located 22 kilometres (14 miles) south of Glen Innes on the New England Highway. Transport NSW operates a bus service (Route 328) from Glen Innes Tourist Centre to Glencoe Post Office twice daily, with tickets costing $1-3 and the journey taking approximately 15 minutes.

The village is easily accessible by private vehicle, which is the most convenient way to explore the surrounding district and attractions.
