Many Peaks hotel reopens
28 February 2025

The historic Grand Hotel in Many Peaks, Central Queensland, has reopened after five years, thanks to new owners Desley and Craig O'Grady and strong community support. The pub, a cornerstone of the tiny town since the early 1900s, closed abruptly in 2020. Locals rallied to help restore it, with dozens volunteering in a pre-opening working bee.
Since reopening in December 2024, the hotel has quickly revived community spirit and attracted visitors to the Boyne Valley, offering meals, accommodation, and events. Residents say the pub's return has brought vital social and economic energy back to the town.
