Gol Gol is a small country town in the Wentworth Shire, in the far western region of New South Wales, Australia. It is situated on the banks of the Murray River, within the Sunraysia region. Located on the Murray River, not far from the now thriving regional centre of Mildura across the River in Victoria, the town is historically significant as it was once an important coach stop.
Today, Gol Gol is one of the fastest developing towns in the region with a close-knit community based on light industry.

The Sturt highway, an important road link for the transport of passengers and freight between Sydney and Adelaide passes through Gol Gol. The best way to get from Mildura to Gol Gol without a car is to line 953 bus which takes 10 min, connecting the town to the regional hub of Mildura in Victoria.
It is geographically situated 1,005km southwest of Sydney, and a lazy 25 minutes by river or a 10 minute car trip from the bustling regional centre of Mildura. River transport via Murray River boats and houseboats is also popular for both transport and tourism.
