Ballan is a delightful highlands village in the heart of Moorabool Shire, located 80 kilometers west of Melbourne along the Western Freeway. The town sits atop rolling volcanic plains with the scenic Werribee River meandering through it.
Ballan has rich gold rush heritage dating back to 1851, and features historic buildings reflecting its agricultural past, including the majestic Ballan Hotel and St. John's Anglican Church.
