Roma is nestled in the heart of the Maranoa region of Southwest Queensland, uniquely positioned where country meets the outback. Just a half-day drive from Brisbane, the town is surrounded by sweeping plains and boundless skies.
Roma is home to the iconic Roma Saleyards, Australia's largest cattle-selling facility, and The Big Rig Oil and Gas interpretive Centre. The town is also known for its bottle trees and hosts Romavilla Winery, Queensland's oldest winery.

Travel options
Roma is approximately 480 km west of Brisbane along the Warrego Highway, at the intersection of the Warrego and Carnarvon Highways. Rex Airlines operates flights from Brisbane Airport and Charleville.
Train services from Brisbane to Roma operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, taking approximately 10 hours and 50 minutes. Regular coach services via Bus Queensland are also available.
Self-drive visitors can reach Roma via the Warrego Highway through the Darling Downs.
