Nebo is a rural town in the Isaac Region of Queensland, located approximately 100 kilometres west of Mackay. The town sits on Nebo Creek along the Peak Downs Highway. The heritage-listed Nebo Hotel, built in 1862, retains its historic character and hasn't changed much since overlooking Nebo Creek.
Historical sites in the region include Lake Elphinstone and the Mount Britton Gold Mining site, while the intrepid can find where explorer Leichhardt camped in 1845. The town's museum celebrates pioneers of the past.

Visitors can drive from Mackay to Nebo in around 1 hour and 17 minutes via the Peak Downs Highway, which passes through the town. An easy hour-long drive southwest from Mackay makes Nebo an interesting day trip or great stopover en route to Glenden.
