Hebel (pronounced "he-bell") is a tiny rural border town in southwest Queensland's Shire of Balonne, with a population of around 62-70 people. Time seems to have stood still in this quirky outback settlement, where tales of the Ned Kelly gang, Cobb & Co, and old-time dance halls linger.
The iconic Hebel Hotel features colourful artwork and recycled bush furniture, while the historic General Store retains its 1890s dancehall character.
