Dirranbandi is a small rural town in Queensland's Balonne Shire, located on the Castlereagh Highway and Balonne River near the New South Wales border. Home to the famous Cubbie Station—the largest irrigated cotton farm—the town comes alive during cotton harvest season.
Dirranbandi marks the end of the South West rail line and is protected by its historic levee bank, which has saved the town from flooding multiple times. Visitors can explore heritage sites, enjoy riverside recreation, and experience authentic outback Queensland hospitality.
