RRR Restaurant and Bar. (Triple R)

RRR" Restaurant and Bar.

Located in the Glen Innes Railway Building

"It is not a 'pub' as such but serves as one. It is the original Interstate railway station, one of only 3 licensed railway stations in Australia in those days. It consisted of a 'sandwich' bar for the ladies and a licensed alcoholic bar for the gentlemen and this bar is replicated today. The building still belongs to the railway and they lease the kitchen for the restaurant and also the bar areas. Out the back you can see the original platform and associated signs as well as some old carriages. It is now called the "RRR" Restaurant and Bar.

A fascinating place with many stories to tell including one of a train stolen by a 10 year old boy. I have attached a photo relating to the story which is on the wall of the pub. The culprit still lives in the area and frequents the pub.

A very friendly, interesting place." - Jenny and Jamie
