Mystery Pub

Jack Garnett Royal Pub

"Hi John,

I have been scanning some old photo albums belonging to my grandmother, and came across this photo, which I have attached (I confirm I own this image).
Is there any chance you get help me identify it?
I think it was taken sometime in the 1940's as that is the date of the other photos with it. It appears that someone in the family was touring around NSW, so I presume it is a pub from rural NSW. Other images are from Dubbo, Bathurst and Bundarra (Uralla NSW).
I have tried 'googling' Jack Garnett Royal Pub but haven't had any luck. I came across your website and thought you may be able to help.

Thanks for any assistance you can give.
Regards,
Karen."

Hi John,

Thank you so much for replying to my email. Mystery solved !!

.........he told us it was a hotel in Inverell - Byron Street, Inverell NSW to be exact - so mystery solved! He couldn't remember exactly which year but he thinks early/mid 1950's. Thanks again - and please feel free to use the photo of the "Jack Garnett Royal Hotel, Byron Street, Inverell NSW c1952" on your website.

Regards, Karen

Thanks Karen, great you solved, the building still exists but is now used as shops. There is a plaque in the pavement signifying the history.
