The Caloundra opened in 1950 when the license was transferred from the Hotel Francis after it ceased trading. The new look Caloundra Hotel is open from 9 am to late, 7 days with light snacks available open till close. Whether visiting to quench the old thirst with a premium beer on tap, meeting a friend for a cappucino, drool over the sumptuous menu, try your luck on 40 upgraded pokies or just kick back on the deck with a cold glass of chardonnay, you will be back again and again. From the deck you can enjoy the ocean view and breeze or in the Irish Bar you may even do what we did and meet a few happy irishmen. Central to Caloundra attractions and a short walk to the beach
