"Just back from lunch at the Shakespeare Hotel in Surry Hills

There are over 20 main courses and all $10 and under. (at March 2008) The bistro is open 61/2 days. It was one of the best counter lunches I have had in a long time.

Beers on tap are Pure Blond, Reschs, VB, Carlton Draught, Cooper's Sparking & Pale, Baron Pale, Toohey's New, Blue Tongue, Cascade Premium Light, Guinness and Bulmer's Cider."

The hotel was established in 1879. Another favourite pub. - Jon
