Kikoira is a small rural town in the Central West region of New South Wales, located 548 kilometres west of Sydney in the Bland Shire. The area produces wheat and wool and was home to one of Australia's largest tin deposits between 1939 and 1970.
The railway arrived in 1929, and the town experienced growth during the tin mining boom that created the nearby settlement of Gibsonvale. Today, it remains a quiet agricultural community with historical mining heritage.
