Closed? Reopened as the Palace Hotel first week of february 2011 offering Bar, Accommodation with most rooms updated and Restaurant.
The hotel was established 20/07/1892. In 1988 it was renamed Mario's Palace Hotel.
The hotel featured in the film "Priscilla – Queen of the Desert." The interior of the palace bar and restaurant Hotel was used for bar scenes in the movie.
