Broadway Hotel

The Broady story began in Taabinga Village in 1902 as the Taabinga Village Hotel. The Pub burnt down and was rebuilt. Again in Feb 1929 the Pub burnt down, but destined for greatness it was rebuilt as part of the current site.

In 1892, Daniel Carroll built a hut on his new selection which had been part of the Old Taabinga run. When the first train arrived on the 19th of December 1904 there was the Pub and two adjoining buildings to meet it. After the 1913 fire the Pub was rebuilt with this existing Federation style building. Great to see the 12 foot wide balcony, and high ceilings which typefy this style of hotel.

The Club is proudly a Family owned and run Pub. Central to Kingaroy, the best way to describe the Public Bar would be "lively" with plenty happening all the time. The Drive through BottleO has local wines. Try one with the Pubs famous "Reef and Beef" meals. The Clubs top Pub Chef has a local following and also does a great "HotBox" with daily specials along with a good choice of Kids meals. The Thursday Jam Session is legendary with the locals as a great night out. Bring along an instrument and join in. A good time Pub.

The Commercial has been a favourite place for locals to meet since 1930. Especially for a punt and a good chinwag. Very comfortably furnished and you will melt into the saloon lounges.
If you would like to try your luck there is also a seperate gaming room with the latest video machines.
A popular time at the Commercial is Friday night and Saturday lunch with some good prizes in the raffles.
Check out the local wines in the Bottleshop where there are always good specials advertised

Kingaroy Hotel Motel

Former Journey Hotel Motel now the Kingaroy Hotel Motel
Photos: 11/10/2001

The G'day arrival in town sparked a lot of debate on which is actually the oldest Pub in the area and it does appear to be the Journey, formerly the "Kingaroy" which was established in 1899 on the Road to Taabinga and has had 3 additions since then.
The addition of the Motel is great for families offering comfortable family style accommodation. Kick back, listening to and watching some music videos on the Big screen TV while you enjoy a game of pool or two. Your welcome at the Journey so drop in and say G'day.
