"The Royal at Galong was recomended to me by another mate about 7 or 8 years ago. I travelled down that way only to find it had closed.

Whilst taking in another interest, Photographing old railway infrastucture I took the detour to Galong. The old semiphore railway signals are being replaced on the 12th Dec. so I wanted to get some shots of the old ones before they're bulldozed. To my suprise and great joy I found the pub open again after 5 years.

There's some amazing curios hanging on the walls including some props from movies. Yahoo Serious' guitar from Young Einstein is hanging on the wall in the bar amongst many other old impliments. It's a bit of a museum.

Well worth the trip there. The beer's not bad either!

The Royal opened it's doors again on the 26th November and we had a couple of celebratory "lite's" before journeying on."
