Former International Hotel

2011 - "I was just having a look at pubs around my area (Newtown NSW) ans saw the former International Hotel listed. I had a bit of a poke around in the newspaper archives at trove.nla.gov.au/ and found an article from January 1880, so it seems this hotel was around a little earlier than the 1882 date given." - Alex Mayo

The Hotel was established in 1882 and closed in 1908-9., but see above.

According to the Sands Directories it was the pub so any comments would be appreciated. - Jon

Former White Horse Hotel

This former Hotel was established in 1855 with the license from the Pigeon House Hotel (later the White Horse Hotel, St. Peters).

There is a report that the hotel closed in April 1976. According to Steve it closed 1981 or 1982 and he was there. Perhaps closed and reopened in 76.

It was a very popular Pub with the Sydney Uni students.
