The original hotel was established in 1862 as the Marthagai Hotel. The hotel was burnt out on the 06/02/1987.
Whilst the new hotel was being built, business was carried on in a disused shop until the Collie Hotel was opened on 07/10/1989.
If you are ever in the area, a visit is a must. You will be made most welcome. The ice cold beer and steaks are first class.
