Birkenhead Hotel, Drummoyne, Sydney
"After attending a charity afternoon at Drummoyne Oval yesterday, we called in at the Birkenhead Hotel for a Tooheys Old and a chardie.
The charity bit was for the opening of 'The Greg Davis Stand' and we watched a rugby match between the local old boys and a 'Mayor's XV' which included Mark Ella, Bill Young (owner of the Hotel Concord), Joe Roff and Peter Fitzsimons, amongst others. Then Cadel won 'Le Tour'. Great day! - Cheers, Bob"
