Bell Tavern offers a great dining experience for visitors and locals alike

  • Tab, pool and a great open fire all cater for the needs of the thirsty traveller thru Belgrave.
  • Minutes away from the Puffing Billy steam-train attraction and Belgrave railway facilities.

Bell Tavern

  • Once a dry area, Belgrave now boasts its only pub - and a neat, and friendly place it is!
  • Established in 1998, according to the carpenter who built the bar, who we met, and still enjoys a fine ale there
  • A write-up in the Age newspaper in 'BarFly' states it is one of those rare places that a Bundy and Coke is on tap.
  • Anyway, the clientele are friendly and drink there regularly, the food is great and the weekend crowds pack the place
  • The Pub has fresh crays delivered in for a scrumptuous seafood extravaganza on Saturdays - that's one of the weekly delights!
  • Everyday of the week there is something great to eat, and entertainment to enjoy.
  • A beer garden up the back, and the entire front of the pub opens up to face the street
  • Just around the corner from the local Cameo Picture Theatre with its outdoor theatre.

Winter periods are a treat at Micawber, as you sit around their open fires. Highly recommended, this Pub is one you must stop at when traveling the Pub trail through the Dandenongs.

Their email address says it all: Get out of town and come and enjoy the excellent hospitality and atmosphere that is the Micawber Tavern!

Micawber Tavern

This beautifully presented tavern is situated right on the edge of Sherbrooke Forest heading east out of Belgrave towards Kallista.
It has a number of areas set aside for enjoying a plethora of ales, in an atmosphere that is second to none.

On warm clear days, visitors can enjoy a refreshing ale in many nicely set out beer garden areas alongside the running stream that passes through the property.

A fine dining area is also available, and weekends and weekdays alike see this well patronised.

A huge number of memorabilia items are prominently on display, and these surround a number of booths, and bars that cater for those who want to meet as a group, as well as those who prefer an intimate chat.

Say Gday to Publican Kriss.
