Formerly known as the Homestead Tavern and said by some as located in Rumula.

Rumula was a railsiding 1/4 kilometer up the road from Julatten. The rail stopped and siding shack has been moved to a local farm.

Hence now known as located in the highlands behind Port Douglas in Julatten Rumula not being a destination in it's own right any more.

It is a well known tavern and restaurant. The restaurant features three separate dining areas. The first is inside with a log fire place, the second features el fresco dining overlooking the gardens and dam and the third, an undercover, outdoor deck also overlooking the gardens. Also featured is a modern kitchen with a Goosand Pizza oven and car parking for up to 50 cars.
