Former Carrington Hotel

Hotel was established in 1895 and was burnt out on the 03/07/1997. The building is being restored by local volunteers but will never trade as a pub again. Shame! PS. Do you like the light pole going through the verandah?

Former Commercial Hotel

"The Commercial hotel burnt down twice !! and was never rebuilt the second time.

The Commercial Hotel was by far the largest hotel in Peak Hill. Situated on the corner of Caswell and Dugga Streets, it burnt down in 1905 and was rebuilt.
Peak Hills first Hotel (Tom Ring’s) Commercial Hotel was established in 1889. The building changed hands several times and the was extended in 1909 with 3 shops underneath and 12 additional bedrooms upstairs.

In 1991 it was again destroyed by fire, and the building was demolished.

Today to commemorate the name of the Hotel lost to the township, "Commercial Gardens" provides a refreshing stop over to the traveller.
The park bench in Commercial gardens became the home to Dave & Mabel two town characters, who mysteriously vanished, much to the dismay of the people and travellers who would delight in a photo with them.
Recently a huge surprise to the township, Dave and Mabel returned to Peak Hill with baby Rosie and entertained the folk of Peak Hill at their Annual "Meet you up the Street" Festival in 2011." -Betty Zdan Peak - Hill Business & Tourism.
