The Bushies place in history was secured with the infamous shooting of Constable Nelson by bushrangers Ben Hall, Johnny Dunn and John Gilbert in 1865 carried out by Dunn.
The locals tell the story of Ben Hall staying in the Pub overnight and taunting the police on their arrival from his bedroom window before the infamous shooting.
New owners David and Kathie are currently restoring the rooms so that visitors can really enjoy a mixture of luxury and history.
